About Me

I am a mother of two, an elementary teacher, a school library media specialist, a perennial volunteer and organizer, a military (retired) wife, a voracious reader, and a traveler. I love learning: so many interests and never enough time! I enjoy scrapbooking, crafting, home improvements and decorating, working with kids (especially coaching Odyssey of the Mind teams), and more.

A long-time goal and dream came true for us in August 2013, when I was hired as the School Library Media Specialist at Heidelberg International School in Germany.  Six days after being offered the job, I was on the plane beginning a new adventure.  Husband Andy followed a month later.

We live in the hills south and east of Heidelberg, trying to escape the hustle and bustle - and traffic - of what to me is a Big City.  (Don't laugh, I'm a Montana girl.)  We love to walk, explore, travel, and drink wine (me) and beer (both of us.)  I hope you enjoy my little stories about our adventures.
